Focus on what makes you who you are. For me, it's honoring my quirkiness and using it as a super power.

Q&A Time!

Q: What’s your hometown and current residence?

A: Home is where my Momma is! (Kentucky.) I grew up equally in Detroit, MI and Henderson, KY. I currently live in Rochester Hills, MI.

Q: Family, pets or hermit?

A: I have a set of 17-year-old twins so, no need for pets. I wouldn’t consider myself a hermit, but I have been known to enjoy the sounds of nature in solitude.

Q: What’s something you say again and again?

A: “Marquis! Let’s GO!” Marquis is my son. He’s marches to the beat of his own drum. It’s just at a slower pace than mine.

Q: If you weren’t working for Emerson, you’d be…?

A: At the library. Orion Township Public Library is the absolute best. I’d grab a snack and cuddle up with a book.

Q: What wisdom would you share with others, if only they’d ask?

A: “You are an awesome being with infinite potential. Tap into it and shine! The only limits you have are the ones you place on yourself. Get out of your head and go live in the present moment!”

Q: What’s your favorite season and why?

A: Michigan summers — I enjoy day camping by the many lakes. In the summer, my car is always ready with gas, camping chairs, one or many ThermaCells for the mosquitos, blankets, a hammock, and books. Meditation by a secluded lake is the best!

Q: What is the one achievement that makes you most proud?

A: As a manager, mentoring my Assistant Manager and helping her become promoted to manager.
